Today I’m going to show you how I created this easy brown smokey eye for my graduation. I’m gonna start by applying sun protector on my face, to protect my face from harmful UV rays of the sun. Now I’m priming my eyelids, this provides a base for the eyeshadow to stick to, and helps the shadow stay on all day.
Especially with all the travelling I will be doing today. Now I’m taking a dark brown eyeshadow and applying it just below where my lid creases, I’m applying it such that you can’t see the shadow beyond my crease when I look straight ahead.
I’m taking the same shadow on my bottom lash line with a pencil brush. Now taking a blending brush I’m brushing over the shadow to spread it over my lid. I’m reapplying the shadow at the outer corner then blending again.
Continue applying and blending until you are happy with the intensity. Just try to keep the shadow below the crease as much as u can, as it will automatically blend upwards. I’m taking a black eyeshadow on an angled brush and lining my top lashline.
Then soften this using the same blending brush as before. Then taking a light brown eyeshadow on a clean blending brush, I’m applying this at my crease so that everything fits together nicely, and looks really blended.
I’m using a Matt vanilla eyeshadow to highlight my brow bone, and the inner corners of my eyelid. Now I’m lining my top and bottom water lines with a black eyeliner. I’m curling my eyelashes and I applied false eyelashes, but of course you can skip this step and apply some mascara instead.
Then hiding the lash glue with a black gel eyeliner. I’m using blending brush to conceal my blemishes. I prefer to do this before I apply foundation, so that the layer of foundation gets rid of any colour differences.
Now I’m applying foundation all over my face, blending really well to make sure there are no streaks. Make sure to blend in your hair line and neck. Now I’m applying concealer to hide the dark circles that I have.
And then setting everything with a powder, so it stays in place all day. I’m powdering the under eye concealer too so that it doesn’t crease. And then applying mascara to the bottom lashes. I’m gonna fill my eyebrows in with a brow gel, and then contour my face because it looks really good in pictures I’m sucking my cheeks in and then taking the contour powder from my ear to the lips.
I’m also contouring my jaw line and nose. Now I’m taking a blush slightly above where I had applied the contour powder. Then lining my lips with a pink lip liner then applying a pinkish nude lipstick.
Makeup is all done and I simply straightened my hair. Fortunately Oxford has a very strict dress code, so I didn’t have to stress about what to wear. We have to wear a white shirt with a black ribbon and black skirt.
Now all ready to throw my hat in the air. If you are graduating I wish you best of luck and hope you enjoy the celebration for all the hard work that you have done. Good luck
